Rare conditions deserve therapists who are ready for them.
Bridgepoint is building a platform that connects patients living with rare and complex conditions to physical, occupational, and speech therapists who understand what each diagnosis asks of care. In the home, in the facility, or virtually.
Where We Are Today
Bridgepoint is in early stage build. We are pre revenue, pre platform launch, and pre therapist network. We are publishing these pages now, before we take our initial referral, because we want to build our clinician credentialing and mentorship standards in the open, with input from the advocacy organizations and clinicians who have spent decades documenting what good care looks like for these conditions. If your organization is willing to help shape what "prepared" should mean for your community, we want to hear from you before we match any therapists to a patient.
For Therapists
For the PTs, OTs, and SLPs who want a starting reference for managing a rare condition safely, and a path to CEUs.
For Families & Caregivers
A quick way to find the advocacy organization for your diagnosis, plus the clinical considerations your therapist should be thinking about.
For Advocacy Organizations
If your organization represents patients living with one of these conditions, we want to build alongside you.
Focused Diagnoses
Ten conditions where the difference between prepared care and generic care is the difference between engagement and harm.
Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB)
Skin fragility makes clinic transport painful and risky. Care should come to the patient.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Relapse recovery, spasticity, fatigue, and heat sensitivity are the four axes therapy has to respect.
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
Progressive decline. Travel is fatiguing, and often unsafe.
Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA, Types 1 and 2)
Respiratory vulnerability makes home the safest setting.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD)
Contracture prevention and energy preservation are daily work.
Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC)
Daily contracture work and casting maintenance are lifelong.
Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS)
Graded re-weaning. Pace to avoid neurogenic fatigue.
Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS)
Sensory and startle triggers must be engineered out.
Rett Syndrome
Familiar environments dramatically improve engagement.
Phelan-McDermid Syndrome (22q13 Deletion)
Sensory regulation is the foundation for engagement.
Building something? We want your input.
We would rather get this right with you than launch it and ask for forgiveness. If you represent an advocacy organization, a clinical center of excellence, or you are a therapist with condition-specific experience, please reach out.
